Manufacturing Emotional Landscapes

I've written a lot about myself over the years, and I've never felt great at it (though others tend to disagree). I feel like if you're reading my blog, you already have a pretty decent idea of who I am. But let's pretend you don't.

My name is Mel which was originally short for Melissa (My Entire Life Is Spent Striving Ahead) but I've been having a lot of fun backronyming Mel recently, as you'll see on my various sites.

This blog is going to be more of an industry commentary and occasional retrospective situation. I'm in the midst of writing my book (which we'll call a "memoir" I suppose) and the old saying goes, "No one will buy the cow if you give away the milk for free!"

I've been in Adult Entertainment (AE) in various forms since late 2008. I started my blog "In God We Tryst" in early 2009 to document my experiences and share what I had learned in my time working and to add dimension to my 'persona'. I used to also care about showing people we were actual human, but I've long given up on the idea of that for a variety of reasons that there may be an entry about someday.

I have always felt being a provider is my calling. It has made an exceptionally positive impact on my life overall that even the bad experiences don’t come close to outweighing the good. I have had a lot of good timing and luck with hobbies/skills like web design and writing going hand in hand with my chosen career. I know that I am in the privileged upper echelon of my industry, and even at my "lowest" or "worst" point. I can only speak on my own experiences and what I know from my lived experience.

I am an infinitely adaptable person who strives to provide authentic experiences. I value honesty and respect, and believe in treating others how I would wish to be treated. I am big on privacy, discretion, and good OPSEC.

I'm also pretty good at Yahtzee!
